About Me
I've always been fascinated by every way we express ourselves — through music, makeup, fashion, and hair. I came to hairdressing after ten years in the film industry as a makeup artist. Hair had always fascinated me, but I never thought it would actually be my path. Then in 2013 I decided to attend Aveda Institute, and it changed my life forever. I became obsessed with creating beautiful, effortless hair and making my clients' lives easier — full of fun and enjoyment. My passion is simple: I want my clients to love their hair. That's the bottom line of my why.
I grew up with curly hair while all my friends had straight hair, and I always felt so different from them because my hair felt out of control. What I've learned as I've gotten older is that all hair is beautiful and unique to the person wearing it, and it deserves to be celebrated, loved, cared for, and enhanced — whether through cuts or color.
I'm also deeply passionate about Mother Earth and being in nature, so it made complete sense for me to bring a more holistic, low-tox philosophy to how I work behind the chair. I use natural, organic, low-tox hair products from companies like Innersense, Afterworld Organics, and Cult & King — brands that believe in making hair beautiful and supporting our planet, without adding toxic fragrances and chemicals into the mix.
As a colorist, I've tried many organic, ammonia-free, PPD-free, and resorcinol-free color lines over the years, and my favorite by far is O&M (Original Mineral). I'm proud to be an O&M educator in the Los Angeles area, available to teach in salons about this incredible color line I've loved and used behind the chair for eight years now — not just for the color results, but for the efficiency, and for the simple fact that I'm not inhaling toxic chemicals all day long. My clients and I both leave feeling clean and clear of toxins, and I love creating that kind of environment for the people who sit in my chair.
